Dagestani President Magomedsalam Magomedov has appointed the members of the government of the republic, RIA Novosti reported, citing the government press service.
According to the decree, Magomedfazil Azizov was appointed minister of education and science; Abakar Akayev the minister of construction, housing and communal services; Sefer Aliyev the minister for land and property relations; Satmar Amirov the agriculture minister; Bekmurza Bekmurzaev the minister for national policy, spiritual affairs and external relations; Marat Ilyasov the economy minister; Shamil Magomedov the minister for natural resources and ecology; and Magamedguseyn Nasrutdinov the minister of industry, energy and communications.
Several ministers from the former Cabinet retained their posts: Finance Minister Abdusamad Gamidov, Health Minister Ilyas Mamaev, Minister for Physical Culture and Sport Arsanali Murtazaliev, Justice Minister Azad Rahimov, Culture Minister Zumrud Suleymanova, and Social Development Minister Ismail Effendiev.
The president of the republic also named the government’s deputy prime ministers, retaining Rizvan Gazimagomedov, Antonina Idrisova and Murat Shikhsaidov. Nizami Kaziev remains a first deputy prime minister, with the second post of first deputy going to Rizwan Kurbanov. Thus, only Maxim Shchepakin left the ranks of deputy prime ministers, while Mukhtar Medzhidov gave up the post of the first deputy prime minister to Rizvan Kurbanov by changing his status to simply deputy prime minister of the government of Dagestan.
