South Ossetia has registered an outbreak of African swine flu, RIA
Novosti reports.
The commission for prevention of African swine flu infection has had
an unscheduled session in North Ossetia-Alania where measures to
prevent the infection from spreading were taken.
According to reports, over 200 pigs have died.
Specialists registered the disease in the villages of Tebot and
Garistav of the Zanur Region, and the Orcholan village of the
Leninogorsk Region.
The disease was also registered in Georgia, resulting in the
introduction of quarantine.
North Ossetia and its border with the South Ossetia has not registered
any outbreak.
