2011 has been declared the year of the Naur Region in Chechnya,
Yuga.ru reports, citing the Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.
Kadyrov said that the region has social issues needing solutions.
These concern water supplies and road repair works, he said at a
meeting with the finance minister of the republic, Eli Isayev.
Kadyrov ordered Isayev to take the issues under his control. The
minister reported on the results of his trip to Moscow. He said that
the Russian Finance Ministry approved seven priority projects of
Chechnya. They include construction of a canning and milking plants, a
healthcare program, construction of a thermal power plant and others.
Isayev expressed hope that the Russian Premier Minister Vladimir Putin
will sign the order.
