Iran has concluded tests of the modernized low and medium-range FM-80
and ‘Rapira’ complexes, according to the press-secretary for the
military training held in Iran, codenamed ‘Sky guards’, General
Brigadier Hamid Arzangi, Trend reports, citing Fars.
The new complexes use a laser targeting system to determine distance
and fully electronic guidancing.
Arzangi said that the complexes are unique.
The Iranian Air Forces and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps are
taking part in the five-day training of the air forces, which started
on Tuesday.
The goal of the training is to determine the efficiency of the new AA system.
