The investigative authorities of Ingushetia have suspended taking cases of militants and corrupt authorities to the local courts, president of Ingushetia Unus-Bek Evkurov said in an interview to the newspaper "Moskovskii Komsomolets".
"Cases are building up at the Investigation Committee, the prosecutor's office demands on cases referral, but examining officials are scared," - said Evkurov. According to him the judicial system has discredited itself: "judges are afraid of "vendettas" against their families. I wonder why we need judges who refuse to put militants on trial, who are scared of being killed and release corrupt officials for bribes I need a judge who tries criminals, nota scared one. It is even hard to imagine a situation in which a policeman says he is not going to work, because he has been threatened. What an outrage."
