Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has welcomed a delegation headed by
the special representative of the EU to the South Caucasus, Peter
Semnebi, the presidential press-service said, Trend reports.
The sides exchanged views on the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict and other issues.
Semnebi had arrived in Azerbaijan earlier due to the release of two
Azerbaijani bloggers, Adnan Gadzhizade and Emin Abdullayev (Milli).
Last week the two bloggers were released on bail.
The bloggers were arrested after an incident in a restaurant on
November 8. They were accused of hooliganism. Gadzhizade was sentenced
to 2 years of prison, Milli -- to 2.5.
The High Representative of EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy
Catherine Ashton praised the decision to release the bloggers.
