Dagestani President Magomesalam Magomedov has met the Russian Minister
of Regional Development Sergey Vereshagin in Makhachkala, RIA Novosti
reports.
The head of the Dagestani president’s administration and government
Gasan Idrisov, deputy chairman of the Dagestani government Rizvan
Gazimagomedov, director of the department of special programmes and
projects of territorial development of the Russian Ministry of
Regional Development Nikita Isayev, heads of the republic’s ministries
and agencies and Russian businessmen were at the meeting.
Magomedov noted that the Russian office in the North Caucasian Federal
District (NCFD) pays special attention to Dagestan. He said that the
delegation will have an opportunity to see the investment potential of
Kumtorkalin, Kizlyar, Karabudakh, Derbent and other regions of the
republic.
The president also reminded his listeners that the last visit of
Alexander Khloponin, the authorized presidential envoy to the NCFD,
was on September 21 this year, during which nvestment activities were
boosted. The mortgage fund was increased to 2.4 billion rubles. A land
fund was established from 46 land plots. The republic has 300 million
rubles in its budget for 2011 earmarked for development of
documentation and projects. There are 38 priority investment projects,
realization of some of them has started, he said.
Sergey Vereshagin thanked Magomedov for the welcome and noted that the
visit was agreed on with the Russian Minister of Regional Development,
Victor Basargin, and Alexander Khloponin.
The main goal is analyzing the social-economic situation in the region
and realization of projects, in particular, the ‘South Russia’
program. 50 billion rubles were issued from the federal budget to
realize investment projects. A Corporation of North Caucasus
Development will be launched in late November, aimed at being an
effective instrument in social-economic development.
