Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan is on an official visit to Ashgabat
on November 24-25, where he has signed a package of inter-governmental
agreements on education, culture and the economy, local media report.
He signed a programme on cooperation for 2010-2015 between the Turkmen
State University of Makhtumkuli and Yerevan State University; an
agreement on cooperation between the Turkmen and Armenian chambers of
trade and industry; an agreement between the Turkmen Ministry of
Culture and TV-Broadcasting and the Armenian Ministry of Culture on
cooperation in culture; an agreement between the Turkmen and Armenian
Ministries of Education and Science on cooperation in the education
sphere; and an agreement between the Turkmen and Armenian governments
on a Turkmen-Armenian inter-governmental commission for economic
cooperation.
