Co-chairs of OSCE MG to visit Baku and Yerevan

The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Igor Popov (Russia), Bernard
Fassier (France) and Robert Bradtke (USA) and the personal
representative of the OSCE chairman, Andrzej Kasprzyk, will visit
Azerbaijan today.


According to APA, the co-chairs will discuss the Nagorno-Karabakh
peace process with the Azerbaijani president and minister of foreign
affairs. The official meetings are scheduled for tomorrow. Then the
co-chairs will visit Armenia.


On November 24, the co-chairs met with the Russian Minister of Foreign
Affairs, Sergey Lavrov, in Moscow.


Baku expects the OSCE to be more active in the Nagorno-Karabakh
settlement, according to the head of the exterior links department of
Azerbaijani president’s administration, Novruz Mamedov, Trend reports.
Mamedov said that they are working on the preparation of agreements
for signing at the OSCE summit in Astana.


The OSCE summit in Astana will be held on December 1-2. The summit
will see heads of countries and governments of 56 OSCE member-states
and 12 partner-states, as well as 68 heads of international
organizations.
