The Turkish premier, Tayyip Erdogan, proposed today to create with the Arabic countries a zone like the Schengen one in Europe, RIA Novosti reports.
Giving a speech in Lebanon, he reminded that Turkey had abolished the visa regime with Syria, Lebanon, Libya and Jordan. "The EU has the Schengen area. Why can't we have something like that?" he said.
"We have large-scale aims in the region. We want only peace in the region", he also added.
