Russian defense minister hails army reforms

Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov has praised the creation of new military structure of the army and navy and the creation of four military districts, RIA Novosti says, citing the Defense Ministry.
The chief of the General Staff, Nikolay Makarov, reported that despite all the tasks to improve the governing system of the military forces and to change to the new system of military alert had been accomplished on time.
