The ‘Dairy Complex ‘Stavropolskiy’’ (DCS), in assistance with the
Israeli company Hish, will build an innovative animal-breeding complex
in Trunovskiy District for 4,000 units of dairy-cattle. The project is
worth 3 billion rubles, RIA Novosti reports, citing the press service
of the region’s Ministry of Economic Development.
The press service did not clarify the date of accomplishment of the
project. It also said that innovative feeding, dairy and upkeep of the
cattle will be used. The animal-breeding complex will have a
feed-center to produce food for cattle with balanced individual
rations and ‘voluntary dairy’ halls. Heating of the complex will be
produced using electricity and the biomaterials of the animals.
These measures will increase milk production without increasing the
quantity of cows. Israeli experience in this sphere was prefered, as
it is the leader in the sphere. Its cows yield 12 tons of milk,
American and European cows yield up to 10 tons and Russian cows yield
8 tons, the head of the DCS Sergey Anisimov said.
Anisimov said that dairies have been experiencing shortages of
high-quality raw materials. This is why the complex will have its own
food production facilities. The project is concluding the preparation
of a business plan and the issuing of land for the complex.
