Turkish Foreign Minister heads to Washington

The Turkish Foreign Minister, Professor Ahmet Davutogu, flew to Washington over the weekend to receive an award from Foreign Policy magazine, which nominated him as one of their "Top 100 Global Thinkers", Turkish news agency Hurriyet reports.

On Monday and Tuesday, he will also meet with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, National Security Advisor Tom Donilon, various members of the US Congress and journalists. He is expected to give talks at foreign policy think-tanks and speak to students at Georgetown University.
