Georgia appoints new ambassador to Armenia

Tengiz Sharmanashvili may take up the post of Georgian Ambassador to Armenia, says Novosti Gruzia.

Georgian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nino Kalandadze explained that the Georgia Foreign Ministry had submitted the names of possible candidates to ambassadorial posts in several countries to the presidential administration.

Tengiz Sharmanashvili, proposed to the post of Ambassador to Armenia,  served earlier as Deputy Chairman of the State Constitutional Commission. A final decision on the appointment should be made within two weeks.
