Russia and EU to discuss the Iranian nuclear question in Brussels

The Russia-EU summit on December 7 in Brussels will discuss three groups of questions, Russia's permanent representative to the EU Vladimir Chizhov told RIA Novosti.

"This relates to global issues with a focus on exit strategies. If in Rostov at the previous EU-Russia summit in May this year we talked about strategies for overcoming the crisis, now, obviously, this isthe next stage - a strategy for getting out of the crisis and the development of those decisions which were adopted at the "G20" summit
in November in Seoul," the ambassador said.

The second set of questions concerns bilateral relations. He said that the parties will discuss the progress of negotiations on a new EU-Russia agreement and other bilateral topics.

The third cluster of issues will have an international perspective. "Until the last moment, this set is subject to variations, but it is clear that the Middle East and Iran's nuclear program will be discussed,” the envoy said.
