The parliament of Kabardino-Balkaria has approved the budget project
for 2011, which is planned to have a deficit of 1.3 billion rubles,
RIA Novosti reports.
In 2009 the parliament approved the budget for 2010. The income was
planned to be 18.794 billion rubles, with expenses at 20.280 billion
rubles. The deficit was 1.486 billion rubles.
In June 2010 the deputies passed an adjusted version of the budget,
cutting its deficit by over 200 million rubles. The income is planned
to reach 18.991 billion rubles, expenses - 20.263 billion, deficit -
1.272 billion rubles.
In October the budget saw its deficit increase by 222 million rubles.
The Finances Minister of Kabardino-Balkaria Azret Bishenov said that
the budget plans for an income of 20.173 billion rubles, which is an
increase by 2.8% compared with this year, expenses - 21.469 billion
rubles (1.6% increase). The deficit should be at 1.295 billion rubles.
The tax income is planned to exceed 8.2 billion rubles, non-tax income
- 322 million rubles.
The main source of income is excise duties (47%), profit tax from
individuals (20.2%), income tax (15%) and property tax (9.8%), the
minister added.
He also clarified that the level of grants to the budget of the
republic reached 49.3%.
63% of the budget's expenses are spent on the social sphere.
