The prime minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has addressed the nation. He paid special attention to the economy.
"Notwithstanding the global economic crisis, the Turkish economy continue to grow. Reports on exports bear witness to the fact that our economy is developing," stated Erdogan. "The export level in October grew by 8.8% and is estimated at up to $10.79 billion. It is the highest level of export in the whole history of our republic," the prime minister stressed.
As for foreign policy, he also said that the status of Turkey improved in the international area. "Due to efforts of Turkey the system of missile defense will cover all members of the NATO, " Erdogan said.
