Georgia and Albania strengthen economic ties

A Georgian delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs
David Jalagania has visited Albania today, Business Georgia reports.


They met the Albanese Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, Deputy Minister of
Foreign Affairs, Ediz Hardzhi, chairman of the commission for foreign
affairs, Fatos Baia, and the head of the Trade and Industry Chamber.


The sides signed a protocol on cooperation. They also had a meeting
with the media.


Albania confirmed the sovereignty and territorial unity of Georgia and
the process of Georgian integration into European and Euroatlantic
structures. The Albanian side expressed support for Georgia within the
Warsaw session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and the Lisbon
summit of the alliance.


The sides agreed on economic cooperation. They will present agreements
on bilateral economic cooperation in the very near future.
