As ofNovember 29, 2010, Adygeya had drafted 721 people for military
service. Adygeya will have a total of 950 people drafted by the end of
this year, Yuga.ru reports.
The head of conscription in Adygeya Sergey Prazdnikov said that
Krasnogvardeyskiy and Teuchezhskiy Districts have the fewest
conscription problems.
The government of Adygeya said that the republic might fail to meet
conscription norms for the first time in history. The republic may
lack 165 people, or 265 if taking into account additional norms.
Specialists say that it is a demographic problem. The republic loses
250-270 young people yearly, but has higher rate of objectors and
people with poor health. 463 conscripts were dismissed for poor
health, 61have draft deferment, 382 need additional medical
examinations.
