The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan, Mamedbagir Bahrami, has visited Baku State University (BSU), AZE.AZ reports.
Noting the high level of relations between the university and Iranian institutes of higher education, university chancellor Abel Magerramov highly appreciated the ambassador's activity in the spheres of science and education. Magerramov added that the meeting would provide impetus to development between the two countries. Ambassador Bahrami noted that Azerbaijan and Iran were fraternal and friendly countries and emphasised the importance of establishing closer relations between them, particularly between BSU and the University of Tehran. As for the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, Bahrami said that Iran supported a settlement of the conflict within the framework of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
