Ice on power lines leaves five regions in Kuban without electricity

About 100 thousand people were left without electricity in five
regions of Krasnodar Territory due to ice formation on electricity
supply lines, RIA Novosti reports, with reference to the public
cooperation "Kubanenergo".
According to the latest information, 20 population centres in the
northern part of the region have had their power completely cut off
and 27 have been partially cut off. "Active restoration of the power supply is
being carried out in 10 socially important regions," a message stated.
An increase in the number of technological malfunctions has been
caused by rain with snow, strong gusts and low temperatures.
Nevertheless, the government of Krasnodar Territory is not
concentrating its attention on the struggle with natural disasters,
but on that with criminal elements.
