Ingush President Yunus-Bek Yevkurov has hailed the work of the republic’s new interior minister.
Victor Pogolov was appointed a month ago.
“He is a competent, smart specialist, I believe he will do a lot for the republic,” RIA Novosti quoted Yevkurov as saying.
Pogolov’s predecessor, Ruslan Meyriyev, was dismissed after a terrorist attack in Nazran killed 24 people and injured over 200 on August 17, 2009.
