Georgian Foreign Ministry angry over OSCE Astana summit outcome

The Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs considers that the adoption
of a single declaration at the OSCE summit in Astana  is an indication
for the crisis in the organization, as well as a failure to make
decisions and solve critical problems, Trend reports.

The OSCE summit was held in the Kazakh capital on Wednesday-Thursday,
11-years since the last summit.

With regard to Georgia the summit was expected to produce an action
plan reflecting upon concrete issues, such as the deepening of the
dialogue, accomplishment of all conditions of the ceasefire agreement
from the 12th of August, support of the Geneva talks, active
participation of the OSCE in the process of restoring confidence, safe
return of internally displaced persons and refugees to their houses ,
restoration of the OSCE mission in Georgia.

"Unfortunately, due to the point-blank resistance of the Russian
Federation to mention Georgia in the  action plan of the Summit, the
adoption of the document became impossible," the statement by the
Foreign Ministry says.
