Turkish foreign minister discusses Iran with EU

Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu and the European
Commissioner for Foreign Affairs Catherine Ashton have discussed the
situation around the Iranian nuclear program. Davutoglu had earlier
met his Iranian counterpart Manuchehr Mottaki in Bahrain.

Vestnik Kavkaza reported earlier that the six mediators will renew
talks on the issue in Geneva. The six mediators are permanent members
of the UN Security Council -- Russia, USA, UK, France, China, Germany.
They will view the ways to cope with the crisis caused by the nuclear
program.

Before the start of the talks, Iran announced about the development of
its own uranium reserves and said that it has already produced its
first portion of uranium for further enrichment.

The mediators do not expect much progress. They say that the best
result would be an agreement on a new meeting.
