Head of Ingushetia about results and prospects

Yunus-Bek Yevkurov summarized his activities as head of the Republic
of Ingushetia over the past two years. Yevkurov explained how
statistics on crimes in the Caucasus cannot be considered realistic,
and indicated when investors will come to Ingushetia, and why.
Contrary to rumours, he does not intend to dismiss the prime minister
of the republic, "Gazeta" reports.

Here are some questions posed to Yunus-Bek Yevkurov:

- For more than two years you have been the head of the republic. What
can you say on the basis of these years?
What has changed? What are you proud of?

- There is nothing to be proud of: there is no clear good objective or
a breakthrough in the elimination of unemployment there.
But there is no reason to be distressed.
The first and second years passed amidst crises, but we managed to
keep the situation under control, fighting with the militants,
and not failing in the and socio-economic component. We have reduced
crime over the two years,
especially over the past eight months.

- Eighteen months ago the country received large-scale state
investment. Where did that go? What did you manage to do?

- We are proud to have passed the federal program and the government
accepted it.
The program began this year. 29 billion rubles were allocated in total,
plus 3 billion on top from our budget, for 2010-2016. We are already
well underway working on all the objectives.
We have introduced 4 projects in the framework of the Ministry of
Health and 5 in the field of education. Four schools, one dormitory,
2 ambulance stations, a clinic, an animal farm and the purchase of sheep.
Construction of a substation will be commissioned soon. In total there
are 17 projects under this federal program.
