Russia and Abkhazia to cooperate in fight against drug trafficking

The signing of a protocol between the Federal Drug Control Service and
the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia took
place in Sochi, Yuga reports.

The protocol is a part of an international agreement 'On cooperation
in fighting against illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs,
psychotropic substances and their precursors'.

The reason for the agreement was an increase in drug trafficking,
which constitutes a threat to the health and welfare of the population
of Russia and Abkhazia, the press office of the Sochi Drug Control
Service said.
