The Georgian Foreign Ministry
has protested against the deployment of
additional weapons in the Tskhinvali region carried out by Russia. The
Georgian president regards the actions of Russia as "a continuation of
an aggressive policy against Georgian statehood."
It became known a day before that a "Tornado" rocket system (MLRS) was
deployed in the Tskhinvali region. According to the authorities of the
Southern Federal District, the decision was taken in order "to prevent
possible aggression from the Georgian side."
