During its presidency of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Lithuania will focus on conflicts prevention and their resolution, said the Foreign Minister, Audronius Ažubalis during a meeting with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmen, Robert Bradtke (USA), Bernard Fassier (France) Igor Popov (Russia) and Personal Representative of the Head of the OSCE, Andrzej Kasprzyk, Trend reports with reference to the site of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, the Lithuanian foreign minister stressed that the role of the OSCE secretariat, authorities and missions should be strengthened in the process of conflict resolution.
In addition, the participants exchanged ideas on the implementation of methods to encourage trust between the communities of Armenia and Azerbaijan, and discussed future cooperation of the Minsk Group, and Lithuania, who will chair the OSCE in 2011.
