Twenty families, left without houses after the fire in Tsibari village of Tsuntin District in Dagestan in late November, were accommodated in the nearby villages, deputy head of the main department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in Dagestan Oleg Halilov said.
The fire in the mountain village of Tsibari started on November 30 and destroyed most part of the village. Only 10 out of 95 houses were saved, as well as the school, kindergarten and the surgeon’s post.
Halilov said at the session of the republic’s commission for prevention of emergency situations and fire security that 104 families received material aid (at least 10,000 rubles per person, a maximum of 25,000 rubles per family). The money was provided by social institutions. 60 empty houses were prepared in Mokok and Shauri villages but only 20 families decided to use them.
An official of the Tsibari administration said that the rest of the families do not want to move because the free houses are in bad condition.
The deputy head of Dagestani government Rizvan Gazimagomedov ordered 200,000 rubles from the reserve fund to be issued for repair works. He also ordered 2 tons of coal and five cubic meters of firewood to be provided to each family for heating.
