Moscow hosts CIS, CSTO and EurAsEC summits

Moscow will host the Council of the CIS ministers of foreign affairs
at the President-Hotel. The Council of CIS leaders will view
approximately 20 document projects, aimed at activating integration
processes in the economic and humanitarian spheres, as well as
security, the CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev said.


The CIS presidents will discuss and approve the plan for military
cooperation of the CIS states until 2015.


Nine sections of the project express a system of concerted views on
development of military cooperation on multilateral basis.


The presidents will view the plan of events for realization of the
concept of border policy of the CIS for 2011-2015. They plan to
develop and implement a system of operative exchange of information
for the Council of Commander of the Border Forces.


Moscow will see the CSTO summit. Its main topic is organization of
common security, in form of an advanced mechanism of crisis reaction
to improve the CSTO potential to cope with the threats and challenges
of security. The summit will discuss a total of 30 issues.

Presidents of the CSTO members confirmed their participation in the
session of the Council of Common Security (CCS). Armenia, Belarus,
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are members
of the CSTO.


The Russian capital will hold the EurAsEC summit. Leaders of six
countries making up the organization will discuss formation of the
Customs Union and the Single Economic Space (SES). Belarus,
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will have a
summit after negotiations on the Customs Union, consisting of Russia,
Belarus and Kazakhstan.


The main goal of the negotiations is signing of on a claim to the
EurAsEC Court on disagreements about the Customs Union and the
peculiarity of the court process. The problem occurred on January 1,
2010, when the Customs Union started work and found need in
establishing a mechanism to resolve disagreements within the
structure. The presidents will also discuss the organizational
aspects, in particular, the next EurAsEC summit.
