The Turkish ambassador to Georgia has filed a report on the results of his visit to Abkhazia. Georgian media reports say the issue was discussed at a meeting between the deputy foreign minister of Georgia, David Djalagania, and the Turkish ambassador, Levent Murat Burhan.
The Turkish ambassador reiterated Ankara's commitment to Georgia's sovereignty. The meeting also saw a discussion of bilateral and multilateral issues.
The ambassador put forward a proposal for Turkey to mediate between Georgia and Abkhazia during his visit, but Abkhazia rejected the initiative.
