The CSTO summit has opened in Moscow. Opening the session, Russian
President Dmitry Medvedev informed the CSTO member-states about the
results of the Russian-NATO summit, held in Lisbon on November 20, RIA
Novosti reports.
The new strategic concept approved at the Lisbon summit shows that the
alliance is of 'no threat' to Russia and is aimed at expanding
partnership with Russia in the anti-missile system, fight against
terrorism, drugs and piracy.
The president said that leaders of the CSTO will exchange views on the
year's achievements on Friday.hey will also discuss future
initiatives.
