There has been so far no political decision on the new mayor of
Yerevan to replace Gagik Beglaryan, the head of the fraction of the
Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Galust Saakyan said at the National
Council, NEWS.am reports.
Besides the Vice-Mayor Taron Markaryan, there are other candidates for
the position, such as the head of ArmRosgazprom Karen Karapetyan or
the head of the RPA at the Council of the Elders if Yerevan Derenik
Dumanyan. Saakyan emphasized that the list can be endless.
He noted that there are also talks on other dismissals.
Mayor of Yerevan Gagik Beglaryan filed a resignation note after
beating up a member of the Armenian president's protocol service.
