The Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin became the head of the governmental commission on economic and social development of the North Caucasus Federal District, RIA Novosti reports.
The Commission will consider and prepare proposals on the socio-economic development of NCFD regions, and harmonize the actions of federal agencies to implement public policy in this area.
Also, the commission will generate a list of priority investment projects to develop the North Caucasus and draft strategies for thesocio-economic development of regions and districts to monitor the implementation of its decisions.
