The parliament of Georgia today approved ambassadors to several
foreign countries. Teimuraz Sharashenidze was voted with 87 votes for
the post of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of
Georgia to Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
Sharashenidze said that his main task as Ambassador will be to
maintain dynamism in Georgian-Azerbaijani relations. Sharashenidze
believes that particular attention should be paid to the cooperation
in the transport and energy spheres. Teimuraz Sharashenidze previously
served as Consul General in Istanbul.
