Tajikistan to chair CIS in 2011

Tajikistan will chair the Commonwealth of Inedependent States next
year, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev today told an enlarged meeting
of the CIS heads in the Kremlin. He also said that at the end of next
year, Moscow will host an informal summit of the CIS.

Russian is the current chair of the CIS. The chairs change every year.
During the meeting the participants agreed to finalize the draft
agreement on establishing a free trade zone. Dmitry Medvedev stated
that this issue will be resolved in December this year.
