Georgia's State Minister for Integration into European and
Euro-Atlantic Structures, Deputy Prime Minister George Baramidze, met
with the Republican Senator John McCain on his visit to the US,
News-Georgia reports, referring to the press service of the Deputy
Prime Minister.
The sides discussed the need to develop a concrete action plan for
implementing the decisions of the Bucharest NATO summit, where it was
decided that Georgia will become a NATO member. In addition, they
touched upon the situation around Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
According to the press service, McCain expressed support for the
territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia, as well as for the
reforms taking place in the country.
