Armenia strongly opposes military solution to Karabakh problem

Armenia is strongly against a military solution to the Karabakh
conflict, the Armenian President, Serzh Sargsyan, said on Friday at
the CSTO summit in Moscow.

The President noted that during the Astana Summit on December 1-2 a
five-sided statement was adopted by the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk
Group and the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, which stated that
the search for a peaceful solution to the Karabakh conflict through
negotiations is the only alternative to stability, lasting peace and
understanding between peoples.
