Tangerine exports from Abkhazia to Russia have reached 11,074 tons
since the start of the season, Apsnypress reports, citing the head of
the Agricultural Ministry of Abkhazia, Yuri Akaba. Abkhazia also
exported over 60 tons of feijoa and up to 2000 tons of persimmon.
The ministry forecasts that over 20,000 tons of citrus fruits will be
exported by the end of this season.
Akaba is confident that Russians will traditionally prefer Abkhaz
tangerines for their New Year celebrations.
