Turkey will host the talks between Iran and six world powers, but will
not participate, the Turkish Ambassador to Iran, Umit Yardym, said on
Monday, Trend reports, citing the website of the Iranian television
channel Press TV.
Another round of talks on the Iranian nuclear program ended last week
in Geneva. It was attended by deputy foreign ministers of the 5+1
states (the five permanent members of the Security Council of the
United Nations - Russia, USA, UK, China and France - and Germany) as
well as the EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy
Catherine Ashton.
A new round of talks between Iran and the world powers will be held in
Istanbul in late January.
