The editor-in-chief of the "Ossetian Radio and Television" agency, head of the International Association of Ossetian Communities "Renaissance", Oleg Kudukhov, and the editor-in-chief of "Vestnik Kavkaza", Alexei Vlasov, have discussed the problem of the information vacuum surrounding the situation in South Ossetia.
According to Kudukhov, in 2008 European society knew nothing about South Ossetia and relied in their opinion on rumours and gossip. The International Association of Ossetian Communities "Renaissance " was founded with the aim of creating an objective image of South Ossetian society. The goal of the association is promoting the interests of Ossetia, explaining its problems to Europe and describing the current situation.
This summer Belgium saw the first edition of the newspaper of the International Association of Ossetian Communities "Renaissance."
