President Dmitry Medvedev sent his greetings to the participants of the Dagestan National Congress, that opened today in Makhachkala, the press services of the Kremlin reported.
The greeting says that in Dagestan there are many ethnic groups and their friendship and cooperation are the basis of stability in this land.
The president stated that today the republic faces problems of economic and social development, as well as providing security.
Medvedev believes that the forum will improve social agreements and living standards.
