Putin reveals secrets of success for 2014 Olympics and 2018 World Cup

The success of Russia in obtaining the right to host the Winter
Olympic Games in 2014 and the World Cup in 2018 is due to great
efforts made in this direction, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said in
a live Q&A session on Thursday RBC reports.

On the 2nd of December Russia won the right to host the World Cup in 2018.

Putin said that the facilities constructed in preparation for the 2014
Winter Olympics in Sochi and for the World Cup in 2018 will remain
with the citizens of Russia who will greatly benefit from them.
