The press-service of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has published an
official statement, saying that, despite the cease-fire, Armenian
forces continue to commit acts of provocation. An artillery shell,
shot from Armenia on December 17 at 21.30, has created fresh tensions
on the frontline.
The 122mm HE shell, shot from an Armenian BM-21 located 2.5 km west of
the occupied village of Talysh in the Terter District, exploded near
the village of Borsundu, which is controlled by Azerbaijan.
The shell was shot from a distance of 15-16km. No one was injured.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry says that it is a violation of the
ceasefire agreement and creates tensions during the negotiations over
Nagorno-Karabakh.
