A joint air defense command center has been opened in Armenia in the
framework of cooperation between the Armenian armed forces and the
102nd Russian military base stationed in Armenia, 1news.az reports,
referring to News-Armenia and the press service of the Defense
Ministry of Armenia.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Defense Minister of Armenia,
Seyran Ohanian.
The base is aimed at protecting the interests of the Russian
Federation and providing the Armenian side with modern military
equipment. The staff of the base will amount to 5,000 people.
