Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has signed a law on ratification
of the European Cultural Convention, Kazakhstan Today cites the
president’s press service.
The law ratifies the convention signed in Paris on December 19, 1954.
The convention will help Kazakhstan integrate into the global cultural
space by study of the languages, histories and cultures of European
countries, the committee for social-cultural development of the senate
says.
The convention has legal principles for the protection of items of
European cultural value.
The secretary of the Kazakh Ministry of Culture and Information,
Zhanna Kurmangaliyeva, said that 49 states had now signed the
convention.
