Azerbaijan is celebrating Solidarity Day on December 31. Azerbaijani
and Turkish youth plan a joint climb of Mount Agry-Dag to celebrate
the occasion. The initiative came from the Azerbaijani and Turkish
ministers of youth and sport, Azad Ragimov and Yunus Akgul, Trend
reports.
Ragimov proposed a bicycle run from Nakhchyvan to Turkey’s Igdyr Province.
Ragimov noted that sportsmen may take part in joint training in
special centers and the recently-opened Olympic sports center ‘Kur’.
The minister touched upon the topic of renovating youth camps.
Ragimov said that the events will help the Turkish people to know
about Azerbaijani culture and history. Baku welcomes the GUAM Youth
Days.
Akgul visited the memorial of the national hero of Azerbaijan Heydar
Aliyev and the Alley of Sheikhs.
