A forest is on fire on the border between Georgia and Dagestan. The
Kakheti Information Center says that the fire started in Dagestan’s
Besht District. Approximately 20 hectares of forest are on fire, Trend
reports.
The head of the Kvarel municipality, Levan Gamsakhurdia, said the
local fire-fighters are well-prepared and will take measures to
prevent it from spreading to the Georgian side.
