The football stadium for the 2018 World Cup will be built on the ‘Red
Square’ trading center, Vladislav Seriy, head of the department for
economic development, investments and foreign links of Krasnodar
Territory, said in an online conference with Yuga.ru.
He said that the football stadium will hold 45,000-50,000 people and
will be constructed in the Lenin District.
Seriy emphasized that the city will support the ‘Krasnodar’ football
club, which will build the arena in East-Kruglikovskiy District. A
deal was signed in March 2010. There will also be a football school
with 8 training fields.
