Head of Iranian parliament proposes establishing parliamentary assembly of Caspian countries

The chairman of the Iranian parliament, Ali Larijani, has proposed to

the Speaker of the Mili Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan, Oktay

Asadov, to create a parliamentary assembly of the Caspian countries,

Trend reports.

 

According to a member of the committee for national security and

foreign policy of the Iranian Parliament, Kazym Jalali, Ali Larijani

will visit Azerbaijan in the near future. "The date of the visit has

not yet been determined, but it will be updated after the New Year

holidays," Jalali said .

 

 

According to Jalali, relations between Azerbaijan and Iran are

constantly expanding and the Iranian government is highly interested

in developing bilateral ties.
